About First Call Flagging

First Call Flagging Inc was started by former U.S. Marine, Bret P. Goss. He noticed a robotic flagging device while stationed in Okinawa, Japan in late 80’s. In 2002 the mission began. At first by importing a rudimentary foreign manufactured flagging system. At the same time, First Call Flagging, Inc. began embarking on a cross-country journey to raise awareness on these life-saving devices. The demand was there but Federal approval for it wasn’t. Enlisting the help of any Senator or Congressman that would listen, they made contact with Senator Gordon Smith (R) Oregon. He took the ball and pushed through the approval of these devices. In late January of 2005 AFAD’s (Automated Flagging Assistance Devices) were granted approval for use. At that time First Call Flagging, Inc. was the only US manufactured system.

Since that time the AFAD has proven to be a necessary component for safe traffic control. As a licensed flagger the President of First Call Flagging has used his experiences to develop the most technologically advanced system available. We have enlisted the services to top notch metal fabricators and electrical engineers. All aspects of the ROBOFlagger were designed by PE mechanical and electrical engineers.

Our philosophy in manufacturing is simple. Never make an excuse about your product! The ROBOFlagger will never be confused with lesser systems. The old saying is true “you get what you pay for” and the value is there. The traditional human flagger will cost over $35,000 annually with benefits. Making the ROBO flagger a value at any price!
